WHAT THEY DO:
Drive fresh fruits and vegetables into low-income, underserved neighborhoods of Boston. In re-furbished school busses.
WHY THEY DO IT:
To tackle healthcare issues that result from poor diet and lack of access to fresh food.
WHY WE'RE INVOLVED:
It’s a great idea. Costs are low, it increases access to fresh fruits and vegetables for folks who don’t have great access. It is also a terrific intervention for healthcare institutions and insurances companies alike, who are looking for better ways to influence and serve their low-income patient communities. These institutions are able to invest in food prescriptions for their underserved patient communities.
